Analisis Framing Pemberitaan Media Online Kompas.com Tentang Isu Terorisme Tahun 2019

Abstract

This study aims to explain how the online media Kompas.com views the issue of terrorism by using Zhongdang Pan and M. Kosicki's framing analysis which contains syntactic, script, thematic and rhetorical elements. This research uses aparadigm constructionist with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the framing carried out by Kompas.com on the issue of terrorism, one of which was the stabbing of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Wiranto by a husband and wife suspected of terrorism and exposed to ISIS radicalism, showed his siding with the government through the point of view conveyed in the news. As well as efforts to build a negative image of terrorism through the use of the word attack contained in every news article on actions carried out by suspected terrorists while the reality is the stabbing of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Wiranto.
